The Vision Plan
CMU 2010 is Central Michigan University’s five-year strategic plan for the years 2005 through 2010. The plan was created with input and support from the Board of Trustees, as well as the university community at large, to serve as the blueprint for CMU’s future. There are 18 key performance indicators which measure our efforts to achieve each of the five priorities listed below. This site also provides information about the initiatives that have been supported by the 2010 Vision Fund.

The Five Institutional Priorities
I. Create an environment that supports teaching and learning as the top priority.
II. Provide educational experiences and programs that enhance diversity and global perspectives.
III. Enhance the infrastructure for research and creative activity.
IV. Provide service for the public good.
V. Strengthen the institution’s culture of integrity.
A Vision Fund of $5 Million was established to support specific projects designed to help CMU successfully achieve the priorities. These funds were distributed through a competitive process. Eighteen key performance indicators are used to measure our efforts to achieve each priority.
